Winter Sanctuary Revolving Shelter
Citrus Heights participates in the HART Winter Sanctuary program. Every year individuals are identified through their local housing navigator and HART members to participate in a 9-12 week revolving winter shelter. Each participating church opens their doors for one week to house people experiencing homelessness in their community. To learn more about the Citrus Heights Winter Shelter click here.
In collaboration with the San Juan Unified School District, and with the assistance of Carmichael HART, Citrus Heights hosts an annual resource fair for unstably housed students and their families.
Annual Spaghetti Feed Fundraiser
A legendary night of raffles, live music, a silent and dessert auction and of course, a heaping plate or two of homemade spaghetti! The 2019 Spaghetti Feed will be November 8th at 5:30 PM at the Citrus Heights Community Center. Click here for the flyer!
Toni, the Citrus Heights' Navigator, works to assess and provide connections to services for community members currently experiencing homelessness. To ensure that clients are given access to services designed explicitly for them, the navigator does most of her work in the field by engaging potential clients where they live.
